End of Year Teacher Gifts

I can’t believe it, but summer is here. David still has school through next Tuesday, but Connor and Mason are done. And even more unbelievable, Connor is done with preschool forever. How is my middle little man already going to kindergarten?!? I think there must be some mistake.

We’ve always had great preschool teachers, but we have a special place in our hearts for Connor’s teachers this year. They are simply amazing people, and on the last day of school, Connor said, “I’m a little bit happy and a little bit sad today. I’m happy because I’m going to kindergarten, but I’m sad because I’m really going to miss my friends and Miss Lorin and Miss Roxanne.”

So even though we contributed to the class gift, I wanted to give them a little something extra as well.

Your teachers have done so much for your kids this year -- give them a great end-of-year gift! This tote holds everything they need for a day of fun in the sun. I've done this for our teachers so many times, and they always love the gift!

I was inspired by this post, but I did things a little differently. The idea is for a gift that will allow for some relaxation in the sun. You can obviously use different items, but this will give you some ideas.

Here’s what I used:

Small tote bag
Flip flops
Lip balm with SPF
Fruit-shaped ice cubes
Lemonade singles
Aloe vera gel {all items up to this point from Dollar Tree}
Beach towel
Insulated straw cup
Bug spray
Swedish fish {the rest of these items are from Target/Walmart}

The only other thing you really need is a tiny helper who insists upon photo bombing every picture you try to take.

 I also did a slightly smaller-scale version of this same gift for Connor’s afternoon teacher.

For this one, I just used a towel, sunscreen, aloe vera gel, a magazine, Swedish fish, and lemonade singles and put everything in a cute pitcher I found at Walmart for about $2.

Now I REALLY need to get to work finishing our summer fun list!

    As a preschool teacher, I have to tell you that these gifts would be very well received by me and I’m a bit jealous of his teachers.
