Just Dance Kids 2014

Every so often, I look around and think: “Our kids have so many toys, they don’t even use half of them.”

Case in point: our Wii that hasn’t even been hooked up for close to a year now.

We were actually considering getting rid of the Wii. That is, until I was asked to try out the new Just Dance Kids 2014 game from Ubisoft. Now it’s getting more use than ever.

We have an older version of Just Dance, and the boys loved to play it, but it was pretty hard for them {and actually it was pretty hard for me, too. I’m not exactly what you’d call a professional dancer. Or a dancer at all.}, and they would tend to get frustrated.

Just Dance Kids 2014 is made specifically for kids {duh}, so the moves are easier for kids to do.

 But, even though it’s meant for kids, they thought about the grown-ups too. There is a huge array of songs on there — from Get Ready to Wiggle by The Wiggles and The Freeze Game from Yo Gabba Gabba, to One Thing by One Direction to The Hustle and Magic Carpet Ride. As well as, much to my delight, Ready or Not. {I ain’t skeered to admit that I loves me some Bridget Mendler.} And Day-O {The Banana Boat Song}, which uses a lot of the dance moves from Beetlejuice. I was so pleased.

Another feature that I love is the ability to play in “Team High Score” mode. Instead of it being a competition, players work together to get points. This is especially nice if you happen to have three boys who turn every. single. thing. in their lives into a competition. A little team work is nice every once in a while.

Even Mason tries to get in on the action, which is beyond hilarious.

I am so happy we decided to bust the Wii back out, because on winter days, I’d much rather them be dancing and having fun than sitting and watching TV or playing a sedentary video game.

Connor is especially a fan. He has asked to play every single day since we got the game, and is so excited to show his cousin how to play when she comes for Thanksgiving. {And I’m guessing the adults may get in on the action too!}

Definitely check out Just Dance Kids 2014 for a fun holiday gift or stocking stuffer this year!!
