Citrus Lane Monthly Subscription Box & Giveaway

Am I the only one who is crazy stoked about this whole monthly subscription box craze? I LOVE doing these monthly subscriptions — it’s like Christmas every month!

I have been eyeing up the Citrus Lane boxes for a while now, so when I was asked to review one, I couldn’t believe my luck.

What’s awesome about these boxes is that they’re geared toward newborns and children up to age 5, and are personalized specifically to your child’s age {Mason is 2 1/2, so that’s the age group that our box was geared toward}. The goodies include toys, books, snacks, and personal care products that have been reviewed and recommended by the Citrus Lane advisory board and their online community, so you know you’re getting great products that real parents love.

Citrus Lane monthly subscription boxes deliver hand-picked toys, books, snacks and personal care items for kids ages 0-5.

Mason was so excited about our Citrus Lane box, I could hardly get him out of the way to take a picture.

Here’s what our box contained:

Boon Waterbugs

Water Bugs from Boon {retail: $9.95} – OMG, I can’t handle the cuteness of these. These super adorable little bugs are BPA-, phthalate- and PVC-free, so no need to worry about them going into gnawing little mouths. They float on top of the water and kids can scoop them up with the little net. Mason loved these {and actually so did Connor, who’s 6}. They had so much fun picking these up and chasing them around the tub with other toys.

 {On a side note, how mad do you think Mason will be in 10 years when he realizes I posted a picture of him in the bathtub on my blog? Hee hee hee… *evil Mom laugh*}

Green Tones Train Whistle

Train Whistle from Green Tones {retail: $14.99} – Green Tones is a brand new eco-friendly line of toys, and this little train whistle could not be cuter. And it’s like they knew about Mason’s obsession with all things railroad {we even call him Mace Train}. Although I’m going to be perfectly honest: I have yet to point out that it’s actually a whistle. With 3 boys in the house, I’m not necessarily actively looking for items that make more noise. Regardless, he loves playing with it just as a train — as soon as I got it out of the box, he ran around the house showing everyone and saying: “LOOK! I got a new choo-choo!!”

Cool It Buddy Instant Cold Pack from Me4Kidz

Cool It Buddy Instant Cold Pack from Me4Kidz {retail: $2.99} – Once again, it’s like they know us, because my little buddy has a recent obsession with ice packs. He wants to use one for every single bump and bruise he has. And in our house, that’s a lot. But this one is so cool, because all you have to do is rupture the contents of the bag, shake it, and it’s good to go. I am totally keeping one in my purse and one in the car in case of any on-the-go emergencies. And, I am going to get a couple more for my husband for when he coaches David’s basketball team. Love these.

Babybug from Cricket Magazine

Babybug and Babybug Magazine Digital Subscription from Cricket Magazine Group {or $19.95 one-year Print+Digital Bundle: retail price $51.90; 3-month digital subscription retail price $4.50} – I had never heard of Babybug, but I remember Cricket Magazine from when I was little. What I love about Babybug is that it’s more like a book than a magazine. It’s specifically designed for babies and toddlers ages 6 months to 3 years, and the pages are sturdy enough to stand up to repeated readings. The box included one copy of the magazine, as well as coupon codes for your choice of a free 3-month digital subscription or a $19.95 one-year print+digital bundle, which is a savings of $31.95!

So all together, the retail value of everything in the box was $30.76, plus the coupon for $31.95, so a total of over $62!! Not bad for a box that costs as little as $16.33 per month!

Just in case you didn’t already do all your holiday shopping on Black Friday, Citrus Lane recently launched the Citrus Lane Shop, which is stocked with the most popular Citrus Lane products.

And even better, they are giving me a $25 gift voucher to the Citrus Lane Shop to share with one of you lovelies! Good luck!
