Soundfreaq Sound Spot

I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Soundfreaq. I received a Soundfreaq Sound Spot to facilitate my review.

We listen to music all the time in our house. Like, all. the. time. And our kids have a remarkably eclectic taste in music, which makes me so proud. Connor came home from Kindergarten a couple of weeks ago and said, “Mom, I heard the Beatles on the bus today! I think the song was Maisy in the Sky with Lemons?” {Close, buddy. Really, really close.}

Anyways, when we listen to music, we usually just listen via iTunes Radio or Spotify on the computer, which works out well, except for the fact that the computer is in our front room and we spend most of our time in the kitchen and family room on the other side of the house.

So when I was asked to test out some brand new Soundfreaq Sound Spot speakers, I was totally on board. {Plus, I love the name. Every time I say it, I think “Criss Angel … MINDFREAK!“}

I gotta say, I love these little speakers. They stream audio via Bluetooth, so we can use them with our phones, iPads or the computer. They’re so cute — they measure about 5″ x 5″ x 2″, so they’re easy to take from room to room. David and Connor love taking it upstairs to listen to music while the clean up or play in their room. But even though the speakers are so small, I could not believe the sound quality — or how loud they could get.

And they come in 11 different color combinations in addition to all black and wood & white, so they can fit seamlessly into the decor of any part of your home.

We put the white and wood one on our mantle, and no one even noticed it was there until we started playing music through it.

When they’re fully charged, the Sound Spot speakers can last up to 7 hours on battery power. And, you can actually charge your phone through the speaker’s USB port — even when it’s running on battery power!

Another feature that I really like is that you can control the music directly from the speaker, which is something you couldn’t do with other, similar speakers we’ve used before. There are buttons for skipping songs, pausing and volume.

I am seriously considering getting a few of these as Christmas gifts this year. At just $69.99, you can’t beat it!
