This post is part of a social shopper marketing insight campaign with Pollinate Media Group™ and Jimmy Dean, but all my opinions are my own. #pmedia #RedboxBreakfast http://cmp.ly/3/8vNxcO.

If you’re a regular reader of this blog, you know I have three boys, ages 8, 6 and 2. {If you’re not a regular reader of this blog, guess what? I have three boys, ages 8, 6 and 2. Consider yourself up to speed.} With David and Connor in elementary school, and Mason in preschool three mornings a week, my mornings are crazy town.

Which is why I was so excited to discover Jimmy Dean Redbox breakfasts at Walmart. They are the perfect quick, easy, delicious breakfast option for those mornings when you’re ready to tear your hair out.

In case you don’t believe me about the crazy town, here’s a little play-by-play of one such morning:

6:55 a.m. – Mason wakes up and yells to get up. Try to pretend I don’t hear the yelling so I can continue to sleep. The yelling becomes too loud for me to ignore, so I go in and get him. Potty time. {5-minute argument of: “But I don’t HAVE to go potty!” “Yes you do, you haven’t gone in 11 hours.” “No, I don’t!” “Yes, you do.” *repeat at least 14 times*.}

7:00 – Get Mason downstairs and put him in his high chair and give him a sippy cup of milk. Crying ensues, because he doesn’t want to be in his high chair OR have a sippy cup of milk. {“I a big boy! I sit in big boy chair and have big boy cup!”} Try to explain that sippy cups and high chairs are easier for Mommy in the morning, so she doesn’t have to worry about spills or falls. Crying increases, give in and allow big boy chair and big boy cup because it’s too early to deal with crying.

7:05 – David comes downstairs and asks for breakfast. While I am getting a bowl of cereal ready for D, Mason falls off chair. More crying.

7:10 – Mason back in big boy chair and no longer crying. D eating cereal. Mason asks for cereal “WITH milk!” Once again try to bargain for high chair, once again give up.

7:18 – Mason manages to spill milk and cereal simultaneously. Then falls off chair. In the midst of trying to console crying and milk-covered child while at the same time clean up giant mess, D asks for more cereal.

7:25 – Child and mess cleaned up, D eating more cereal.

7:30 – Realize Connor is still sleeping. Run upstairs to wake up Connor.

7:35 – Come back downstairs and get bowl of cereal ready for Connor. Realize Connor is not yet downstairs, run back upstairs to find Connor back asleep. Try once again to rouse Connor.

7:42 – Finally get Connor downstairs to eat cereal. Get new bowl of cereal, because first bowl of cereal now soggy.

7:45 – Attempt to get D in shower, have 5-minute argument of why showers are necessary, as is soap during said shower. {“But I don’t ‘get’ soap. Why do you even need it?” “So you won’t be ‘that smelly kid’ at school.” “Seriously, I don’t get it.”}

7:53 – Run back downstairs to find Mason sitting in puddle of milk and Connor sitting at table watching SportsCenter, forgetting to eat cereal. Yell at Connor to shovel remaining bites of cereal into mouth, then go up and get dressed because now no time for shower.

7:55 – D comes downstairs, dressed. Send D back upstairs to dry hair and change clothes because: a. soaking wet hair has drenched t-shirt, and b. shorts are not acceptable attire when temperature is hovering right around 3 degrees.

7:59 – D and Connor back downstairs, dressed appropriately. Ask if brushed teeth. Send back upstairs to brush teeth.

8:04 – Yell at D and Connor to stop giggling, finish brushing teeth and get ready for bus. D and Connor come back downstairs.

8:05 – Connor runs back upstairs to retrieve school library books.

8:06 – Yell at D and Connor to get ready for bus, because they are going to miss it if they don’t hurry. Realize forgot to pack lunches, so tell them they can buy lunch at school.

8:08 – D walks out door wearing hat, shoes and backpack. Yell at D to come back in for coat.

8:10 – Finally get D and Connor out door, appropriately dressed, with backpacks and needed gear. Realize Mason still sitting in puddle of milk.

Clearly, I could use some help in the mornings.

From now on, I am making sure my freezer is stocked with Jimmy Dean breakfasts. There are so many options that it’s almost impossible to choose. David and Mason love the Sausage, Egg, and Cheese Croissant Sandwich.

Connor and I usually pick the Bacon, Egg, and Cheese Biscuit Sandwich. I will admit, I was a little leery of how these were going to work in the microwave, but they are so, so delicious, and in my opinion rival my favorite fast-food bacon, egg and cheese biscuit.

Dave is a big fan of the Meat Lover’s Breakfast Bowl.

The sandwiches take less than 3 minutes to prepare, and the breakfast bowls are ready in under 4 minutes. You can’t beat that for a hot, delicious breakfast!

Let’s just say that I know from experience that these sandwiches are perfect for on-the-go breakfasts in the car.}
