Sprint Ambassador: HTC One (M8) Harman/Kardon Edition

I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting (#MC) for Sprint. I received a product sample to facilitate my review and to thank me for participating. #SprintMom #Sponsored

Remember a few weeks ago when I announced that I had been chosen as a Sprint Ambassador? Well, I am so excited to let you all know about the first Sprint device I have been trying out.

The HTC One (M8) Harman/Kardon Edition.

I have had iPhones for several years now, and I’m not big on change, so I wasn’t sure how much I would like switching to a new phone.

And I’ll admit, it did take some getting used to, but I have now switched completely over to this phone, and I don’t plan on going back!

For starters, the size is amazing. The 5-inch screen is full HD, so the clarity of photos and videos is amazing. I feel like the display is not that much smaller than on my iPad mini!

And speaking of photos, I cannot get over the quality of the photos. We went to Pittsburgh for Memorial Day weekend, and I decided not to take my good camera. I was a little nervous just relying on the phone’s camera, but you really can hardly tell the difference.

I also love the options that the camera has. When you open up the camera, you get to choose from the following menu:

The dual capture selection is really fun, because you can take a selfie and a regular picture at the same time. My kids especially love that one.

As much as I love the camera, by far the best part of this phone is the audio quality. Harman/Kardon is a company that makes premium audio systems, so the audio on this HTC One (M8) is unlike anything you can get on any other phone. It’s seriously amazing. I listen to music on my phone while I’m running, and it actually sounds like I’m listening on a high-end home speaker system.

{Funny story: I had to call Sprint a couple of times to activate this phone, and both times, when the customer service person saw that I had the Harman/Kardon edition of this phone, they said, “Oh my gosh, I am so jealous!” and then proceeded to ask me 72 questions about how it sounded. I was cracking up.}

I also got to try out the Harman/Kardon Onyx Studio Speaker. {Well, I should say that “we” got to try it out, because it was confiscated by my husband about 30 seconds after it came.}

The sound quality on this is just plain crazy. It’s sleek and portable, so it’s easy to take with you — we’ve been using it on our deck and patio pretty much every day, and we can’t wait to use it for tailgating this fall. It’s also equipped with Bluetooth connectivity, so you can listen wirelessly from any Bluetooth-enabled device.

And, as part of Sprint’s new Sprint Sound Sessions, Sprint is giving customers access to Spotify’s catalogue of more than 20 million songs as well as a great deal on this speaker.

If you’ve never used Spotify before, you should check it out. We use it all the time to listen to music at home. You can create your own radio stations based on a favorite song or artist, or you can create your own playlists, using Spotify’s catalogue. You can also follow your friends to see what they’re listening to.
