Eat. Create. Party! Favorites

Happy Monday, everyone!! Hope you all had a fabulous weekend.

We’re just starting our final week at the beach, and this weekend was less than stellar weather, so I’m trying to pack as much fun into the next 5 days as possible. Dave and I did get a date night in Atlantic City, courtesy of my parents, which was delightful.

As always, you all went above and beyond when linking up to last week’s Eat. Create. Party! Take a gander at my faves, and grab a button if you were featured!

I love sewing, but it’s not something I get to do as often as I’d like. Since I got my new sewing machine for Christmas, I’ve made a few items, like a reverse applique t-shirt, a knock-off Anthropologie pillow, and a Kool-Aid dip-dyed pillow, but I really want to start sewing more and learning more techniques, like buttonholes, zippers and shirring. Shirring is something that I always thought would be really hard, so I’d never attempted it before. But Leslie from The Seasoned Homemaker makes it look insanely easy in this Shirring Fabric with Elastic Thread tutorial. I just may have to tackle this!

I have a new favorite word: S’moreo. Seriously, how much fun is that?? S’moreo. S’mores and Oreos, smashed together. With ice cream. And covered with chocolate. Please go to This Silly Girl’s Life right now, and get the recipe for these S’moreo Ice Cream Sandwiches. And then say “s’moreo” about 100 times. You can thank me later.

I hope the whole chalkboard thing isn’t on its way out, because I still love it. And I might just love thrift store makeovers even more, so this DIY Chalkboard & Monogram Tutorial from Little Brags is right up my alley.

Watermelon is my favorite. I choose a ton of watermelon recipes as favorites on here {including one last week!}, so when I saw this Watermelon Lemonade from Pint Sized Baker, I knew I had to include it. Not only does it sound delicious, but it’s a great way to use up a mushy, mealy, dud watermelon. Win-win!

After a 3-week vacation, I’m pretty much due for a complete overhaul. As much as I’ve enjoyed stuffing my face with pastries every morning and fried seafood every night, I feel like I’m going to have to roll myself home this weekend. Starting on Sunday, meals like this Ranch Chicken Fajita Salad from Food Faith Fitness are going to have to be on the menu on a regular basis. Lucky for me, this one looks amazing!

I realize that it may be slightly odd to talk about eating better and then featuring a recipe for an Easy Pineapple Daiquiri from Organized Island. But here’s the secret: it’s fruit, so it’s healthy. Right?

How gorgeous is this Coconut Raspberry Slush from Kleinworth & Company? I can’t get over the color, and my mouth is seriously watering just thinking about it. I cannot wait to try this beautiful, refreshing treat.

Sometimes there’s really no need for a lengthy explanation of why I chose a particular post as a favorite. Sometimes, it’s just as easy as providing the name of the recipe: Cookie Dough Fudge with Chocolate Chips and Pecans {from Domestic Mommyhood}. Really, is there anything else I need to say?
