Easiest Ever Blender Salsa

Have you ever made salsa before? 

For the longest time, I didn’t make it, because I was so intimidated by it — all that chopping. Holy moly, the chopping. I try to avoid chopping onions at all cost, because no matter what I do, I get a massive headache and cry like a baby. 

Make the easiest, most delicious salsa ever -- in about two minutes, with almost no chopping!

Plus, I’m not a huge fan of chunky salsa, especially for dipping. On tacos and stuff, it’s fine, but for dipping, not so much. It’s a pain in the neck: you don’t get all the ingredients on your chip, and if it’s too chunky, your chip can break when you try to dip.

I take chips and dip very seriously, people. Do not mess with my chips.

I like a smooth salsa, like you get in a lot of restaurants. Everything is all blended nicely, you get all the flavors when you dip, and best of all: no broken chips! 

But the absolute bonus is that this type of smooth salsa is actually about 100 times easier than the chunky kind. Know why? Because you make it in the blender!

Blender salsa is awesome. You chuck everything right in there — with almost no chopping! All you have to do is cut your red onion and scallions into a few big chunks. Everything else, you just toss right on in there and blend up. 

And BAM! Delicious, slightly spicy, smooth salsa, in about two minutes.

You can also customize it however you want. I loves me some cilantro, but I know a lot of people hate it, so if you’re one of those haters, then leave the cilantro out. Like it spicier? Add in a jalapeño, habanero or a few dashes of hot sauce in there. 

I promise you, once you make your own, you will wonder why you ever bought salsa before.

Ingredients
  1. 1 can {14.5 oz} fire-roasted diced tomatoes
  2. 1 can {10 oz} Ro-Tel Diced Tomatoes with Lime Juice & Cilantro
  3. 1 can {4 oz} fire-roasted diced green chiles
  4. 1 tsp minced garlic {I use the kind that comes in squeeze bottle}
  5. 1/2 red onion, cut into chunks
  6. 3-4 green onions, cut into 2" pieces
  7. Juice of 1 lime
  8. 2 tsp cumin
  9. 1 tsp oregano
  10. Goya Adobo spice to taste {or you can use salt}
Instructions
  1. 1. Place all ingredients in blender and blend until well combined. Add Goya Adobo spice or salt to taste.
Notes
  1. Note: for more heat, feel free to add in some or all of a jalapeno or habanero pepper or some hot sauce.
