I have the best memories of college. It seems like a different lifetime, with my life now being so full of kids, and school, and soccer, and baseball, and activities, activities, activities. I almost can’t remember what it was like to be so carefree and only be worried about myself.

Oh, the 90s. Not such a good look for me.

My very favorite thing about college was this guy.

This picture totally cracks me up — we look like such babies! I think if anyone would have told me that night that 17 years later, we’d be married and have 3 kids, I probably would have fainted.

But aside from the fun, and the parties, and the making life-long friends, another of my other favorite memories was getting a care package.

Do you remember how amazing it was being in college and getting a care package? I will never forget going to get my mail and seeing a little “You have a package!” card in there. My mom used to send me fabulous care packages with homemade treats, fun little foods that I could cook in my miniature fridge/microwave combo, and other awesome stuff.

As hard as it is for me to believe, my niece Sydney just started art school this fall. I distinctly remember her bouncing in that little bouncer, and carrying her little Elmo doll all around, and letting Elmo smell all the flowers we saw, and calling herself Cece, so it’s a little hard for me to wrap my head around the fact that she’s a college student now.

Boggles the mind.

But the boys and I thought it would be fun to send her a care package so she can experience the fun of opening a big ol’ box o’ fun. I told them that we should send her some snacks, so the first thing they picked out was some KRAFT Mac and Cheese Cups {you literally just add water, pop it in the microwave and 3 1/2 minutes later, you have yourself a little bowl of KRAFT Mac & Cheese!}. I’m pretty sure I ate mac & cheese at least 5 times a week in college.

We also decided that some Planter’s Dry Roasted Peanuts would be good too. We love peanuts in our house, because they are packed with protein and nutrients that make them a delicious, smart snack. We’re also going to send her a bunch of pictures and letters that they boys drew for her, which I know she’ll love, as well as some art supplies and other fun treats.

I am a member of Amazon Prime, and have been for a few years now, so a lot of times, when I’m sending gifts to people, I just do it straight through there.

Amazon's new #AmazonWishlist feature makes giving and requesting gifts easier than ever! #AmazonHasIt #CollectiveBias

The Amazon Wish List is a great tool for gifts. You can create a wish list for those items that you’re just dying to have, and your friends and family can purchase and ship items to you directly from there. So when Syd’s running low on particular items, she can hop on Amazon and add those requests to her wish list, so it’s easy to know what she needs. Another cool thing about wish list is the Don’tSpoilMySurprises feature, which doesn’t let the wish list creator which items have been purchased.

And now, with the new #AmazonWishlist, you can add items to your wishlists directly from Twitter.

Seriously! How much fun is that?!?

Amazon's new #AmazonWishlist feature makes giving and requesting gifts easier than ever! Add items to your wishlist directly from Twitter! #AmazonHasIt #CollectiveBias

That’s all you have to do! If you’ve already connected your Twitter and Amazon accounts, then you’re good to go, your item will automatically be added to your wishlist. If you haven’t, you’ll get a reply tweet asking you to connect your accounts to enable this new feature.

Easy. As. Pie. Or KRAFT Mac & Cheese Cups! {Sorry, that was cheesy, but I couldn’t help it. Ha! Cheesy, get it?!? I need some sleep…}

And tomorrow, October 15, from 11-12 p.m. EST, Amazon is hosting the first-ever #AmazonWishList Social Shopping Party on Twitter! Seriously: social media, shopping, and a party. It’s like a version of my heaven.

During the party, Amazon will be offering special promotions on the featured products purchased using the #AmazonWishList feature. This includes $1 off the products I featured, KRAFT Mac and Cheese Cups and Planter’s Dry Roasted Peanuts, when you purchase them using #AmazonWishList and #AmazonHasIt.

And I don’t know about you, but when I go shopping for other people, I almost always end up with something for myself. Amazon will be giving away 10 Kindles as prizes during the party, so join in and see if you can win yourself a little something-something!

I hope you’ll join me at the Twitter party tomorrow!!
