Quick & Easy Thanksgiving Tablescape

Ok, so Thanksgiving is less than a week away.

Whaaa?? How the heck did THAT happen?? New year’s was seriously just a few weeks ago, wasn’t it??

But regardless of how insanely fast this year is going, Thanksgiving is next week, and I haven’t really done a whole lot of planning yet. It’s going to be a bit different this year, because it is just going to be the five of us. We’ve never had a Thanksgiving like that before, so it’s definitely going to be a little weird, but honestly, I’m kind of excited to have a day with just us.

A lot of people would think that, because it’s just another family dinner for us, we’d just set the table like normal, right? Yeah, well, those people clearly have never met me or realized my crazy love for making things look pretty. Of course I’m going to do a fancy table — who cares if it’s just the five of us??

So when I was asked by Wayfair to create a tablescape for their Grateful Table campaign, I didn’t even think twice.

I love combining things that aren’t necessarily thought of as going together, like gold glitter and burlap, so I decided to do something a little bit more eclectic than usual. I could not be happier with how the table turned out.

I started with a burlap table runner down the center of the table. The one I had actually has a chalkboard stripe down the middle of it, so we can all write what we’re thankful for on it. Or, in the case of my boys {and who am I kidding, my husband}, draw football plays.

In the center of the table, I placed a fun flower arrangement. It looks super fancy, but it was crazy easy to put together. I just took two vases, a larger one and a smaller one that fits completely inside the first one, and filled the space between them with fresh cranberries {Tip: stuff a paper towel inside the smaller vase while you’re pouring in your cranberries so you’re not spending 45 minutes fishing berries out of it! Not that I know this from experience or anything…}. Then I just placed a mixed bouquet of flowers in the smaller vase.

I wove a leaf garland around the vase to add some color, and then just filled in the remaining empty spaces with some cute little pumpkins {both real and artificial}, a few sparkly votive holders, and some little jute and glittery gold balls.

I love that it looks beautiful, but was so totally simple to put together.
