I am going to admit something that might surprise you.
I had never read the book Love You Forever.
I feel like that’s one of those books that every kid has read, and if you didn’t read it as a kid, you have read it to your own kids. Nope, not me. My entire knowledge of the book came from the episode of Friends where Joey didn’t have a gift for Emma’s birthday, so he did a dramatic reading of that book as his present. {Am I the only one who remembers that?}
Anyway.
Despite never having read the book, I have always loved the quote “I’ll love you forever. I’ll like you for always. As long as I’m living, my baby you’ll be.” So I decided that I needed to read the book to see what the rest of it was like. And I’ll be honest: not a huge fan.
The whole thing with the mom driving across town with a ladder so she could wait until her grown son fell asleep and climb into his window kinda creeped me out. And then the end was just crazy depressing.
But I still totally love the quote, and I made a free printable of it to share with all of you.

Hi Jenn! I read the book when I was in 5th grade I believe. I moved to the States from Korea the year before, and to learn the language, I read a lot of books starting from ones meant for toddlers. And yes! I remember that Friends episode!! I have the whole DVD collection, and have watched it over and over again…I can and will never get tired of that show! Thank you for stopping by my blog to say hello and for hosting the Pin It party every Monday! Following you on bloglovin’ now so I never miss another post ;). Hope you have a wonderful week!

I hadnt read it either til about 2 months ago (and I totally remember Joeys dramatic reading – fab stuff), but you are so right, it IS a bit weird when he is grown up and she’s still sneaking in but at the same time whenever I finish reading it it brings a tear to my eye. Even just reading your printable made me well up!
