Is there a better drink in the summer than iced tea? I think not. Every time I have a glass, it makes me wish I was sitting in a rocking chair on the porch of a southern plantation home, saying things like “Lawdy it’s hot!”
Sadly, I live in Pennsylvania, so the southern thing just ain’t happening. Also, I’m not living in the 1800s. So that’s sad.
But what is awesome is that I have now discovered the perfect way to brew a perfect, cold, refreshing glass of iced tea in seconds. So if I ever want to pretend I’m Scarlett O’Hara {you know, before the pesky curtain-wearing/home-burning-down issues}, I at least have the beverage part down.
Lipton Brew Over Ice K-Cup packs make fresh-brewed iced tea in seconds in three easy steps:
- FILL: Place a 16-oz. (non-glass) cup under your brewer filled with ice
- BREW: Insert Lipton Brew Over Ice K-Cup packs and brew on 6-oz. or 8-oz. setting
- ENJOY: Stir it up, park yourself on your patio with a good book, and sip away!
I have tried making iced coffee and tea before in the Keurig by brewing normal K-Cups over ice, but I usually just end up with a watered-down, bland mess.
So I’ll be perfectly honest, when I saw these Lipton K-Cups, I thought it was going to be more of the same.
What I didn’t realize is that these are specially concentrated blends that are designed to be brewed over ice, which allows them to make the perfect glass of iced tea every time.
And they come in three delicious flavors: Lemonade Iced Tea, Classic Unsweetened Iced Tea, and Refresh Sweet Tea.
So whatever you’re in the mood for, you can whip one up in seconds.
These K-Cups are also a fantastic starting point for whatever fancified iced tea recipe you might want to try out. Want to try some berry iced tea? Toss some strawberries and raspberries in the blender, strain out the seeds, and stir in to your K-Cup-brewed iced tea. Bam, fancy-pants iced tea in about 2 minutes.
Peach iced tea is another one of my favorites: mix some peach nectar into a glass of the lemonade iced tea and try not to feel all uppity.
Lipton K-Cups are now available online and at grocery stores and mass retailers nationwide, so go get yours today and see how easy it is to brew a perfect glass of iced tea.
