Are you a blogger interested in hosting a weekly DIY/Crafting/Recipe link party? I will be starting an ongoing one next month and would love to find two or three more permanent co-hosts. It’s a great way to drive traffic to your blog and get followers on all your social media. If you are interested, click here to send me a message that includes a link to your blog. Thanks!!
So, yeah. It’s fall. And it has been for a while. Yet I just finished my fall mantel last week.
Don’t judge me, people.
I had forgotten how bananas things get around here once school starts back up — there’s, well, school obviously, soccer, football, basketball, dance {ha! just kidding, I threw that in there to see if you were paying attention — no tutus or toe shoes in this house of testosterone}, not to mention Penn State football. Exhausting, all of it.
Not that I’m complaining, because I love fall. And I love doing fall projects, as you can see here, here, here, here, and here. It’s just that everything gets way crazed when it first starts.
But back to my mantel. I used a few of the tips I discovered while putting together my How to Create the Perfect Mantel post, and I’m super happy with the way it came out.
The best part is, I put together almost the entire thing with DIY items and things I already had!
The pumpkin picture on the left is my Washi Tape Pumpkin Art that I created for my last month’s White Lights on Wednesday contribution {tutorial here}. The “Happy Fall!” sign is a free printable from All Things DIY. I got that adorable lantern at Wegmans, of all places, but I have seen similar ones at HomeGoods and Amazon {I am particularly obsessed with this one from Amazon}. I used Spanish moss that I got at Michael’s inside the lantern, under the pumpkin.
The grapevine pumpkin and small white/gold pumpkin next to it are both from Walmart {I got them last year, but I have seen similar ones this year as well}. The “Y” sign is from Hobby Lobby, and the white candle holder is from HomeGoods.
This wreath is actually a DIY project. It started out as this wreath, and I just used some printed burlap I had leftover from this project, wrapped it around the existing wreath, stuck on a burlap bow and slapped it up. Couldn’t be easier.
So there you have it, my fall mantel!
Do you change out your mantel from season to season, or do you just keep it decorated to match your room?

You have a gorgeous fall mantel. I always love the mirror on a mantel, it makes the rest of the decorations pop and adds a nice little touch. Thank you for linking up to Thrifty Thursday.
