Welcome to the 31 Days of Halloween, Day #18! If you missed any of the previous days, click here!
I’m Tammy from Hey Fitzy, and today I am excited to be a part of Jenn’s Endlessly Inspired’s 31 Days of Halloween! With four crazy kids and two wild dogs, we try to turn chaos into comfort. Our blog provides us the opportunity to share our passion for transforming our house into a home. It might be a simple project that transforms a messy space, a recipe to enjoy with friends, or a moment of peace when you are having a tough day.
For years my Halloween decor has included traditional orange and black. While there is nothing wrong with that, I really wanted to challenge myself to a more neutral Halloween mantel this year. Armed with an idea, I headed over to the local Target to see what I could find.
Can you believe I created this entire Halloween mantel from a single Target trip? Most of the items were found in the dollar spot!
These cheese cloth ghosts were a fun project I made with my daughters. We had a blast making the different sizes and creating the embellishments. You can see that project here.
I found these fun peel and stick spiders. My 6 year old had a blast helping me with this part of the project. She loved bending the spider legs and peeling back the little stickers. Then came the fun part! She got to stick the spiders all over the wall.
The smiling pumpkin even lights up at night.
The glittered candelabra came in a little kit and were easy to put together. I just used plain white candles but jazzed them up a bit with a strip of rhinestone tape.
I used a black candle stick to hold up the little skull filled cloche.
Before we know it those little trick-or-treaters will be knocking at the door!
Do you use traditional black and white Halloween decor, or do you go a little more monochromatic?
