So we have a patio in our backyard with a firepit and some furniture.
The furniture is pretty basic, neutral stuff that we’ve had for about 4 or 5 years now, so: a. I’m bored with it, and b. it’s starting to look a little worse for the wear.
Unfortunately, though, new patio furniture isn’t in our budget.
But the whole patio situation is bumming me out, and it’s not looking all that inviting to hang out there. The rain we’ve been having ALL SUMMER isn’t exactly helping with that, but I needed to do something, and I was told in no uncertain terms that I wasn’t allowed to get new furniture. {He’s no fun. Stupid budget.}
So I decided to perk up the patio with a few pops of color — for right around $100!
Here are some “before” pics.
See? Blah.
Not terrible, just boring.
Neutral. No color.
No fun at all.
But check it out now!
Isn’t it so much more fun and inviting? It just makes me happy, and I want to sit there and have a drink. Or five.
And like I said, I only spent around $100!
The first thing I got were outdoor pillows. I just love pillows, and they’re so inexpensive and easy to change out. The blue one and the yellow one were both around $25 a piece on Wayfair, and they looked even better in person than they did online. I brought out a couple of my favorite pillows from inside the house too.
I also got this super cute steel side table for around $50. The bright blue color is gorgeous, and I am kind of obsessed with how it looks with this fun green tray I already had {this one is similar}.
I had so much fun going through the house and finding all sorts of fun colorful touches that I could use on the patio!
I found the garden stool at a local store a few months ago {here is a similar one from Wayfair}, and had actually planned on using it in our living room, but I decided to bring it outside when I started updating the patio. I love how it looks next to the wicker bench!
I am just loving the new look of the patio, and I’m loving even more how quick, easy, and inexpensive this was to do! I think we’re going to be using this a lot more now that it’s so much more inviting!
