So, how’s everyone doing on your new year’s resolutions??
Yeah… you probably forgot about those, huh? I think most people are so gung ho about them around the beginning of the year, saying things like “THIS IS THE YEAR! I’m going to keep them no matter what!” and then two weeks later, they’re like, “Uh… what now? Yeah, I never said that. That must have been someone else.”
Personally, I actually did pretty well at first. I was working out almost every day and eating really well, focusing more on clean eating and whole foods than counting calories or fat. Then, in early February, I had some family stuff happen and everything got shot straight to hell for a couple of months.
This week, I am determined to get back on track. I’m going to get back into the habit of waking up early to work out {because if we’re being perfectly honest, if I don’t do it before the boys wake up, it’s never going to happen}, I’m going to start taking my vitamins again, and I’m going to start eating healthier.
Taking a daily multivitamin is a great way to help keep your body working the way it should. I love Nature Made Multi Complete Softgels, because they provide 23 key nutrients for daily nutritional support. I get them at Walmart, because they have a huge selection and they’re always priced low, so I don’t have to wait for a sale. Even if I have a day where my eating isn’t ideal, at least I know I’m getting my vitamins in!
Another way I like to keep working toward my health and fitness goals is by drinking a protein shake every day. If you are one of those people who hear that and think: “Oooh. Yum. Protein shake. Sounds delicious,” in a super-snarky and sarcastic tone {hopefully I’m not the only one who is snarky and sarcastic in her head!}, just pipe down and check out this peanut butter cup protein shake.
Yeah, I said peanut butter cup protein shake. It is completely ridonkulous, and has the added benefit of being healthy without tasting healthy! Jackpot!
