Did you know that you can make things like brownies and pound cake in your waffle maker?? Seriously!
One of our favorite Food Network shows is The Kitchen, and a few weeks ago, Sunny Anderson made brownies in a waffle maker. Who knew you could even do that?? Not me, but I will tell you something: my world is a happier place now that I have this knowledge. Even better, you use a boxed brownie mix. Yay for shortcuts!
So my husband decided to try to make them, but we didn’t have any brownie mix. You know what we did have? Pound cake mix. So he made pound cake waffles. And they were ridonkulous.
And me being me, I thought: “Ooh, those would make an insane ice cream sandwich!!” So I decided to do make ice cream sandwiches that taste like strawberry shortcake. Holy moly, these bad boys are delicious.
I’m sharing the full recipe today over at Say Not Sweet Anne, so pop on over there to find out exactly how to make this fabulous summertime treat!
