Chocolate Milk Fudge {31 Days of Halloween: Day 15}

Welcome to Day 15 of the 31 Days of Halloween! We’re halfway there!

I loves me some fudge, y’all.

Every summer, we go to Ocean City, NJ, and hit up Steel’s Fudge on the boardwalk. It’s one of the highlights of my vacation. But the funny thing is, I think I have made fudge once in my life.

I thought it was hard, and long, and involved to make fudge. Until now.

Because this chocolate milk fudge is amazing, and totally easy. There’s no candy thermometer needed, and it’s so unbelievably smooth and creamy and melt-in-your-mouth delicious. I promise you, anyone can make it.

This recipe is unique because it uses chocolate milk instead of sweetened condensed milk or whole milk, like most fudge recipes.

We love chocolate milk in our house — especially TruMoo. It’s fresh from the dairy and contains no artificial growth hormones or high fructose corn syrup. David likes to point out that one 8-ounce glass of TruMoo provides as much calcium as 5 cups of broccoli and as much potassium as a small banana. {Although in his mind, that means that instead of eating broccoli and bananas, he could just drink chocolate milk. Ahhh… the mind of a 9-year-old boy…}

Start with a bag of orange and semi-sweet chocolate chips {I found mine at Target}. You’ll want to separate them by color, so it helps to have a small helper. I bribed Connor by telling him he could eat a few chips when he was done and he’d get a bigger piece of fudge than David, so he was all over it. You’ll use the semi-sweet morsels in the fudge itself, and the orange ones will go on top to make them all Halloween-y {hee hee, Halloween-y is funny} and festive.

Heat some sugar, vanilla bean paste {you could also use vanilla extract, but vanilla bean paste is so, so much better}, butter and your TruMoo chocolate milk until it boils. Boil it for about 3 minutes, then turn off the heat and add mini marshmallows, your semi-sweet chocolate chips and some milk chocolate. Pour it into a greased pan, and that’s it!

Told you anyone could make it.

You won’t believe how smooth and creamy and melt-in-your-mouth chocolatey it is. Ah-mazing.

    Your fudge recipe only says to butter the pan yet it says to mix vanilla, sugar, milk and BUTTER in a large pot. Th eonly problem is there is no butter or amount for butter in the ingredients list. Could you tell me how much butter to use?

      Oh no, I’m so sorry! I don’t know how that happened. It should be 2 Tbsp of butter. I edited the recipe. Thanks for pointing out the mistake!
