Hershey's Kiss Spider Cookies

Ingredients
  

  • 2 1/4 cups of all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup butter softened
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp vanilla bean paste
  • 2 eggs
  • 36 Hershey's Kisses unwrapped
  • 24 milk chocolate chips

Instructions
 

  • 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • 2. In a medium bowl, stir together flour, baking soda and salt. Set aside.
  • 3. In large bowl, beat together butter and sugars until creamy. Add vanilla bean paste and eggs and beat until smooth.
  • 4. Slowly incorporate dry ingredients into wet and mix until thoroughly combined.
  • 5. Drop by rounded tablespoonfulls {or use a cookie scoop} onto baking sheets. Bake for 10-12 minutes.
  • 6. Remove from oven and immediately press an upside-down Hershey's Kiss into the center of each cookie for the spider's body. Then press an upside-down chocolate chip immediately next to the kiss to make the spider's head. Let cool completely.
  • 7. Place remaining kisses into a zip-top bag and microwave at 50% power for 30-second intervals, massaging bag after each interval, until completely melted. Snip off a tiny corner of the bag and pipe on legs to each spider. Let chocolate set.

Notes

Note: If you don't have vanilla bean paste, you can use pure vanilla extract instead.
