1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
2. In a medium bowl, stir together flour, baking soda and salt. Set aside.
3. In large bowl, beat together butter and sugars until creamy. Add vanilla bean paste and eggs and beat until smooth.
4. Slowly incorporate dry ingredients into wet and mix until thoroughly combined.
5. Drop by rounded tablespoonfulls {or use a cookie scoop} onto baking sheets. Bake for 10-12 minutes.
6. Remove from oven and immediately press an upside-down Hershey's Kiss into the center of each cookie for the spider's body. Then press an upside-down chocolate chip immediately next to the kiss to make the spider's head. Let cool completely.
7. Place remaining kisses into a zip-top bag and microwave at 50% power for 30-second intervals, massaging bag after each interval, until completely melted. Snip off a tiny corner of the bag and pipe on legs to each spider. Let chocolate set.
Notes
Note: If you don't have vanilla bean paste, you can use pure vanilla extract instead.
