Ingredients

  • 6 eggs see Note
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 cup shredded cheese
  • 1 bag McCain Quick Cook Waffle Cut Fries
  • 1 bag frozen sausage patties
  • non-stick cooking spray

Instructions

  • Heat a large nonstick skillet over medium heat. Spray with cooking spray. Whisk eggs together with 1/4 cup milk. Pour into heated skillet and cook, without stirring, for 5-6 minutes or until almost set. Sprinkle cheese over eggs and continue cooking until eggs are set and cheese is melted. Remove from pan and place on cutting board to cool completely. Once cool, cut into squares or circles with a cookie or biscuit cutter.
  • Cook waffle fries according to package directions.
  • Cook sausage patties according to package directions.
  • To assemble waffle fry sliders, top one waffle fry with a sausage patty, and then with a serving of egg (if necessary, reheat egg in microwave for 30 seconds). Top with an additional waffle fry.

Notes

  1. To make eggs for a crowd, or to freeze, whisk 12 eggs with 1 cup milk. Pour it on a buttered or sprayed sheet pan. Bake at 375 for about 10 minutes, sprinkle it with cheese, and then return it to the oven for another 3-5 minutes. Cool completely, then cut into squares or cut out circles with a cookie or biscuit cutter. Wrap individual servings in plastic wrap and place in a large zip-top bag to freeze. When you're ready to make your sliders, just grab a couple of servings out of the freezer, remove them from the plastic, and pop them in the microwave for about a minute.
  2. Instead of sausage, try ham, bacon, pork roll or whatever other meat you'd like.
